This 27 hole course mirrors the old Scottish style of years gone past. The dream of the course designers was to keep alive the traditional setting of golf and they achieved it. The clubhouse is modeled after a 19th century Scottish design, complete with an old Scottish pub and restaurant. Heather Glen has been recognized year after year for their 27 hole facility. Some of their awards include being rated 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest's places to Play in 2002, Golf Digest's Best New Golf Course in 1987, Golf Digest's Top 50 Public Courses in America and Golf Digest's Top 5 in South Carolina in 1995.
